Occoneechee Council is proud to recognize and celebrate the Silver Beaver Class of 2025, a group of exceptional volunteers whose service to youth, community, and Scouting embodies the very best of our movement.
What the Silver Beaver Means
The Silver Beaver Award is the highest honor a local council can bestow upon a volunteer, recognizing distinguished service to youth at the council level.
Recipients are nominated by their peers and approved through a formal process that culminates with confirmation by the National Court of Honor, underscoring the significance of this recognition.
Honoring the 2025 Class
This year’s Silver Beaver Class of 2025 reflects countless hours of mentorship, leadership, and behind-the-scenes work that keeps Scouting strong across Occoneechee Council.
Each recipient has helped create safe, meaningful, and life-changing experiences for young people through unit, district, and council service.
The 2025 Silver Beaver Class was formally honored during a special recognition ceremony held on January 22, 2026 at the McKimmon Conference & Training Center on NC State’s Raleigh campus. The ceremony took place prior to the Council’s Annual Business Meeting and brought together fellow volunteers, family members, and council leadership to celebrate their extraordinary service.
