Wood Badge
In 2027, Come grow with us at Wood Badge.
Adapt for today. Build for tomorrow. Connect for Life.
For over 100 years, Wood Badge has been helping adults sharpen their leadership and communication skills in ways that carry into family life, careers, and community.
In 2027 we’d like you to: Adapt, Build, & Connect.
• Adapt your leadership to serve today’s youth.
• Build practical skills and dynamic programs.
• Connect with a network of passionate scouters.
Think of it as five days (spread across two weekends) where you get to unplug at Camp Durant, connect with fellow Scouters and dive into hands-on experiences that stretch you as a leader.
It’s part training, part retreat and 100% growth experience.
Challenge what you think you know about Scouting. Join us at Camp Durant (Carthage, NC). You must attend both weekends to complete the course. Both weekends start at 7am.
Sept. 10-12 | Oct. 2-3

“Even if you’ve studied the art of leadership, learning and experiencing these lessons through the lens of a youth leader truly hits harder.”

I have taken a good number of leadership courses, and none have ever combined the skills work with the sense of whimsy, fun and brotherhood that Wood Badge bestows.
It may sound cliche, but this experience has been absolutely transformative for me.
My expectations were high, but the delivery of the program was higher.
Lived up to the hype and then some.
The staff have been amazing. The way they were able to welcome someone like me, who is new to Scouting, without ever making me feel less than, is nothing short of incredible.
The more hesitant you are, the more this course is for you.
