Summer Camp at Camp Durant
Experience a week-long Scouting adventure full of lasting friendships, skill-building, and outdoor fun! At Camp Durant, Scouts camp with their troop, choose from dozens of merit badges, and take part in activities they might not otherwise get to try—like climbing courses, archery, riding ATVs, and learning to swim in the camp lake. All of this is made possible through our exceptional staff, dedicated to creating a safe, supportive, and unforgettable camp experience for every Scout.
This immersive program lets Scouts take a break from the distractions of daily life and enjoy classic camp traditions—while we make sure delicious meals are provided, so everyone can focus on fun, growth, and new experiences. Camp Durant’s Summer Camp is an opportunity every Scout should enjoy!
Summer Camp at Camp Durant
Your Troop Leader manages registration for your group, and will share information regarding cost, deadlines, camp dates, necessary forms, and more.
My child’s troop isn’t coming to summer camp this year, but my child still wants to come to summer camp 2027. Can we register individually?
If your child’s troop isn’t attending summer camp at Durant, your child can still participate! Scouts have the option to attend individually by registering as a provisional camper. Simply register using the link below and your Scout will be placed with other provisional campers for a full summer camp experience—earning merit badges, joining in activities, and making new friends.
Are there Cub Scout opportunities at summer camp, and what can families expect?
Yes! Camp Durant hosts a dedicated Cub Scout Adventure Camp during summer camp specifically for Cub Scouts and their parents. This special session offers age-appropriate adventures, nature exploration, creative STEM projects, classic camp games, and memorable evening events—all designed for younger Scouts. Meals, activity supplies, and guidance are included, making it easy for both first-time campers and experienced Cub families to enjoy a safe, fun, and memorable camp experience together.
All Cub campers in the Lion through Bear ranks must attend with a parent or legal guardian to ensure proper supervision and support. Webelos and Arrow of Light (AOL) Scouts have added flexibility: with written parent permission, they may attend camp with another family or trusted adult friend. This ensures everyone enjoys camp safely while fostering new friendships and growth in the great outdoors.

Multiple Week Discount:
Scouts returning for another week of camp save $75 each week!
Jamboree Discount:
Occoneechee Council Scouts attending Camp Durant in June or July 2026 are automatically eligible for a $450 credit toward the 2026 National Scout Jamboree. Email campdirector@ocscouts.org if you’re interested.
Individual Scouts:
Provisional troops available all 4 weeks of camp for Scouts who want to attend camp on their own or better yet, with a buddy. More camp, more fun!

Reservations
- Troop Registration and Site Reservations are handled through Black Pug.
- A unit deposit of $100 is due upon site reservation request.
- Camper registration fee is $475
- $150 per Scout due March 1, 2026
- $150 per Scout due April 1, 2026
- Balance due May 1, 2026
- Leader registration fee is $200
